When transformers prematurely fail or show signs of imminent failure, it is often important for the owner to find out what the root cause of the problem is. A-Line E.D.S. has often contributed their knowledge of transformer decommissioning to team up with engineers or insurance companies to carefully take apart transformers in such a way so that any errors in the unit are found and the corresponding actions are taken to avoid such problems again. Here are a few pictures of a forensic tear-down on a shell style unit that A-Line E.D.S. recently completed.
